In simplified terms, the permissible dimensions and weight for a tractor-trailer in Poland are 16.50 meters in length, 2.55 meters in width, 4.0 meters in height, and 40 tons in weight. Exceeding any of these parameters requires the carrier to obtain a special permit for the transport.
Common examples of goods that often require oversized transport include machinery and equipment, special vehicles (e.g., specialized fire trucks), structures, pipes, steel profiles, tanks, and wind turbine components (blades, nacelles, tower segments).
